I read about them here (I only looked for the proposals because I read a controversial article here). more... 25 September, Dear President Bush You are taking on the whole world of terrorism. A brave venture and one that must be very difficult for you personally. more... 16 September, Dear President Bush You say you are a loving guy. You also want to be a great president. Take heed of Abraham Lincoln's words: "I destroy my enemy when I make him my friend". more... Open letter to Colin Powell, US Secretary of State16 October, Dear Secretary of State You say you need lots of "intelligence" to be able to deal with terrorism properly. Quite right. But what is the best intelligence and where does it come from? more... Open letter to Lord Robertson, NATO Secretary General20th October, Dear Secretary General You gave a speech to the NATO Parliament assembly in Ottawa on the 9th October. Many things about that speech itself were disturbing but the "questions and answers" were remarkably awful. (I have read about it in the Times here, and the Montreal Gazette, here.) more... Replies (not from Lord Robertson - yet) Open letter to Iain Duncan Smith, leader of Britain's Conservative Party31st October 2001, Dear Mr Duncan Smith I heard you on the radio today. Open letter to Osama Bin Laden16th September, Dear Mr bin Laden You clearly want to change the world. Open letter to the Taliban and Afghanistan (and all so called "terrorist states")Seven countries are on the U.S. State Department's list of "state sponsors of terrorism" -- Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Sudan and Syria. Afghanistan is not on the list because the United States does not recognise its Taliban leadership. (Reuters) 16th September, Dear Leader You clearly want to change the world. You would wish that those who are currently your enemies and damaging your way of life and the ways of life of those for whom you speak should change; should become more cordial and helpful rather than antagonistic. more... What should YOU do?You, gentle reader, are the core of both the problem and the solution. If we want a green forest we have to have green trees. If we want a peaceful world we have to have peaceful individuals. Angry or not at the death and destruction in America we have to find a way of dealing with it that doesn't escalate the violence and consume the world in a long and deadly war. We also have to find a way that doesn't leave us in a totalitarian world super-state. We see and read in the news, day after day, lone brave voices cautioning against the overhasty or unmeasured application of force in reaction to the attacks. Yet those voices can cause even further anger to the listeners because they focus on the potential damage that escalation of violence from our side would cause - without offering solutions to the problem of violence hitting us here and now. Maharishi's Vedic Science, in particular the group practise of the TM-Sidhi and Yogic flying technique, is a solution that can be switched on immediately to defuse the situation and bring peace and harmony back to the world. It has been proven in over 40 research studies around the world. This is much more than can be said for the technologies of violence.
