But let us start with the most important piece of news (14th November) Message of hope from MaharishiMaharishi Mahesh Yogi gave an encouraging message to the world, on 14th November, following his celebration of Mahalakshmi - an important event in the Vedic calendar dedicated to enlivening affluence and abundance, both material and spiritual, in the individual and society. Maharishi said on that day that we should start proclaiming from now on that "Within a very short time we will have established a group of 40,000 Vedic Pandits on the banks of the Ganges. And then, world consciousness will be in a very dense atmosphere of coherence and harmony and world peace, because the Vedic Pandits will be doing big, big powerful yagyas - Vedic performances to enliven the qualities of peace and harmony in world consciousness. They will have a colony by themselves, not disturbed by any outside influences." Maharishi said we can now bring the good news to everyone concerned with the world situation, that "When we have established this capital of the Global Country of World Peace with 40,000 Vedic Pandits, the world at large will have a very harmonious collective world consciousness." So, Maharishi said, "Everyone concerned with world affairs has to begin to relax, with this news that very soon the world will have reached a level of no return on problems and suffering. In other words, the world will come out of problems and suffering, and there will be no return to problems and suffering for our whole human race."
