25 September Dear President Bush You are taking on the whole world of terrorism. A brave venture and one that must be very difficult for you personally and for your administration. Look at how complex it is: bringing diplomatic pressure here, offering commercial aid there, veiled threats in another place, co-coordinating all the enthusiastic help from other world leaders and above all else making sure that the resources of the United States are not over-stretched. Making sure that you can keep your heartfelt commitments to your own people and to the world: both your allies and your enemies. To do all this you surely have hundreds or thousands of people given high degrees of responsibility and their reports and questions must be piling up in your office. Just think what would happen if they or you got it wrong. Otherwise sober commentators have raised the spectre of World War 3. Already two glaring mistakes have surfaced: the use of the words "crusade" and "Infinite Justice". If wrong words can cause such problems imagine what the wrong actions could do. Mighty complicated all of this and I am sure it will be causing you sleepless nights. Yet all this complexity is as nothing compared to the way the universe is run. See the stars and galaxies and planets moving around in their ordered paths. The seasons coming on time, the plants and animals living and growing, each human made of trillions of cells each working in harmony with all the others and individual atoms and molecules with subatomic particles whirling around all according to their own rules. What intelligence is it that keeps all this happening? The intelligence of Nature, Natural Law. The same organising power of Natural Law that keeps all the universe going is available to you and your administration. In fact, many experts in providing it to nations, communities and governments, have already gathered in Fairfield, Iowa on the campus of Maharishi University of Management. There, since Sunday 23rd September, the numbers of yogic fliers has been sufficient (over 1700) to provide coherence in collective consciousness to the entire USA. Since then you and your administration have become more measured in your pronouncements - and the Dow Jones has picked up. You visited MUM in 1988 when you were campaigning for your father's election and were told all about their achievements. Now is the time to support the group in Fairfield in its desire to certainly keep at this level and better still to expand to 8,000 to provide coherence in collective consciousness for the whole world and bring a speedy end to the sorry state of affairs that the world has come to.
