My Copy of Internet Explorer now reminds me of the the Global Country
of World Peace every time I use it.
| The title bar looks like this. Every page will say "something or
other" - for the Global Country of World Peace. |
 |
| Next, the toolbar now looks like this. It has the cosmic background. |
 |
| Last, at the right hand side, the spinning logo
(known to some as a throbber) which indicates that
Internet Explorer is downloading something from the web, now looks like
this. The map of the world and the flag of the Global Country of World
Peace |

- You too can customise your copy of Internet Explorer to work the same way.
(Apologies to Mac users - this is for MS Windows only)
- How? Click here to download a collection of files which you install on
your PC. When you download the collection and install them on your PC you
must use the default folder (directory) it suggests i.e. c:\gcwp. When you have downloaded and
extracted the files use Windows Explorer to go to C:\gcwp and then double click on
readme.htm to get full instructions. While you are online you should
also download Internet Explorer Personaliser 3.0 from the Access
Software site as this is needed too. It is free of charge.
- The download will not change any of your explorer settings until you choose
to run them. Later on you can undo them if you wish.
Mac users
I don't know how you can change the title bar or the toolbar background but
you can change the "throbber", the spinning logo at the top right hand
side of the browser window. You can download and save the spinning logo up above
and then use one or other Mac utilities (all free) to install it. Some web sites
which should be of help are: pKellerher.com,
resExcellence.com, macDeusEx
(at the bottom of the page). You could also use your favourite search engine and
look for throbber and mac.
If a Mac user is able to find out how to package all this up, and perhaps
even do the title and toolbar, and would like to send it to me I shall put it on
this site.
